Pokémon 30th Celebration UK: ETB, Pokémon Center, RRP
Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration is the anniversary set. It releases on 16 September 2026, the first Pokémon TCG expansion to go on sale worldwide on the same day, and UK pre-orders have been open since 15 July 2026. This page covers what the set is, every product and its date, the UK prices we have verified, and how to buy it at retail.
What 30th Celebration is
30th Celebration is a special set, listed under the Mega Evolution series. Every card in it is foil. Each booster pack holds five foil cards, one of which is one of 30 Pikachu, plus a foil Basic Energy and a code card.
Two things set it apart:
- A new rarity, the Futuristic rare, with art by YOSHIROTTEN.
- 30 Classic Collection reprints with a gold border, historic cards reprinted inside this set and nowhere else.
The card count is not settled. Published sources give figures from 128 to over 160 depending on how secret rares are counted, so we are not printing one.
There are no booster boxes. Packs are only sold inside products.

The sensible buy
The Elite Trainer Box on 16 September is the standard pick: nine packs and the full-art Nidorina promo, which only exists in this box. The Pokémon Center version adds two packs and a second Nidorina promo, and its supply never reaches a normal shop.
The booster bundle on 2 October is six packs and nothing else, the cheapest way to open the set.
The Ultra-Premium Collections on 6 November are the big-ticket items: 29 packs plus a Classic Collection pack. The UK price was not listed when we checked; the US price is $179.99. Do not pre-order one from a third party until a UK RRP exists to hold them to.
Are Pokémon Elite Trainer Boxes worth it applies here in the usual way.
Chase cards
Too early for a settled list. The Pokémon Company's own headline cards are the Mew ex and Mewtwo ex Futuristic rares and the 30 Pikachu variants, one in every pack.
The Classic Collection is the part worth understanding. Which Pokémon sets hold value uses the 2021 Celebrations set to explain why content tied to one anniversary product cannot leak into next year's tin. The same mechanism applies here. That is a reason to take the set seriously, not a reason to pay above RRP.
UK retail and RRP
Verified UK prices at the time of writing:
- Elite Trainer Box: £49.99 (listed by Magic Madhouse).
- Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box: £56.99 (Pokémon Center UK). Pokémon Center's estimated release page lists the UK ship window as mid-September 2026.
Unverified: the UK price of the Ultra-Premium Collection and the smaller products. Argos runs a 30th anniversary event page for the range.
Where to look: Pokémon Center UK for the stamped ETB, Argos, Smyths, Tesco and Amazon UK for the Amazon-sold listing only.
Sealed versus open
This is a special set with no booster boxes, and special sets have historically left print sooner than main expansions. That is the argument for sealed. Against it: The Pokémon Company prints to demand, and an anniversary set with a worldwide launch is the kind of product it prints a great deal of.
The honest position is the one in sealed versus singles: buy sealed at RRP or not at all, take the profit that exists while stock is short, and treat a long hold as the small selective part of what you do. Opening is for the Pikachu and the Classic Collection reprints, and how to sell Pokémon cards in the UK covers what to do with the pulls.
How to buy at retail now
- Pre-order at RRP where it is open. UK pre-orders have been open since 15 July.
- Pokémon Center UK pre-orders take cards only, one item per order, charged when the item ships. Our queue and pre-order guide covers the rules.
- Accounts ready at Argos, Smyths, Tesco and Amazon UK before 16 September.
- Get an alert. With products landing on five dates from September to December, Pokémon restock alerts in the UK matter more than for a single-day launch.
