Pokémon 151 UK: restock, products and value guide
Scarlet & Violet: 151 came out in September 2023 and it is still one of the most searched Pokémon products in the UK. Three years is a long time for a modern set to hold attention. What Scarlet & Violet: 151 is
151 is the first special expansion of the Scarlet & Violet series. The English release date was 22 September 2023. The set has 165 cards in the main list and 42 secret rares, 207 in total.
The idea is simple. Every Pokémon in it is from Kanto, and the cards are ordered by National Pokédex number. It also has the first Kadabra card since 2003.
Because it is a special set, there are no booster boxes. That one fact shapes everything about buying it. Packs only exist inside products, so the products are the supply.
The product line, and the sensible buy
The English line at launch:
- Booster bundle
- Elite Trainer Box, with a full-art Snorlax promo
- Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box, with 11 packs and two Snorlax promos, one carrying the Pokémon Center logo
- Ultra-Premium Collection, built around Mew ex
- ex boxes, mini tins, a poster collection, a binder collection and Battle Decks
If you want packs, the booster bundle is the sensible buy. It is the cheapest sealed route into 151 packs, with nothing in the box you did not ask for.
The ETB makes sense if you want the Snorlax promo and the set sleeves. Read whether Elite Trainer Boxes are worth it before buying more than one. The Ultra-Premium Collection is a display piece, not a value play. Tins and ex boxes are for people who want one specific promo.
The chase cards
Three cards carry the set:
- Charizard ex special illustration rare, 199/165
- Mew ex, 205/165
- Blastoise ex special illustration rare, 200/165
The Charizard is the reason 151 packs still sell. A Charizard, in a Kanto set, as a special illustration rare, is about the strongest character pull Pokémon has. Prices for all three move week to week, so check recent sold listings before you decide anything on the back of them.
Where 151 sold in the UK

We have not confirmed a current UK RRP for 151 products, so we do not quote one here. If a listing sits well above the price of a current-set ETB or booster bundle, you are paying a resale premium, whoever the seller is.
Will Pokémon 151 restock in the UK?
This is the question people type most, so here is the honest answer. Nobody outside The Pokémon Company knows the print schedule. What we can say is that 151 still has demand three years after release, and demand is what The Pokémon Company prints against. Do not buy a sealed 151 product at a premium on the assumption that the print run is over.

Hold it sealed, or open it?
Sealed: the booster bundle and the ETB are the two products most people hold. The case for holding is the set's character strength and the lack of booster boxes, which caps how much sealed product exists in any form. The case against is the same as for any modern set. If it is still being printed, retail price is the ceiling, and every new wave resets the sealed market.

No guarantees either way. 151 has done well so far because demand outlasted supply. One announcement can change that.
How to buy 151 at retail now
The window at RRP is short when it appears. Preparation decides it:
- Have accounts at Smyths, Argos, Amazon UK and Pokémon Center UK made in advance, with your address and card saved.
- Know the product page. Bookmark it. Do not search for it on the day.

- Buy the allowed quantity and stop. Retailers cancel duplicate orders.

For packs, yes. It is the cheapest sealed route into 151 packs because the set has no booster boxes. Pay RRP for it. Above RRP the resale margin disappears and you are paying the same premium you hoped to earn.
What is the most valuable card in Pokémon 151?
